Time has ripened to accolade those energetic facet of women who are achievers in every sense amidst their various challenges within their family and in the society. Thus Ooruni Foundation has initiated the first ever recognition in 2018, for working women across India by presenting them Working Women Achiever Awards every year in commemoration of Women’s day.

Working Women Achiever Awards is a unique of its kind Award to recognise and enhance working women on the vantage of  Equal Opportunities.

It is a premier award to accredit the achievements and progressive contributions of every working women including transgenders, at all levels in varied industries.   Awards are given to the outstanding women from Education, Manufacturing, IT & ITES,  Service & Retail, Media & Entertainment, Government & Public sector, Self-Employed & Start-up and also from Unorganized Sectors.

For 2019, the nominations were invited within stipulated period of time and its heartening to witness the support extended as they were all nominated either by their colleagues or by family members or by their friends. Following the validation process of the nominations, the appropriate Awardees of each sector is decided unanimously by elite & eminent panel  of juries.

In our process from nominations to awards, those who out ranked,  are being facilitated with the Award. Also in the Award ceremony we take the pleasure of releasing 100 Working Women Achievers – a book in admiration of those achievers whose contributions are ineluctable, apart from the Awardees.

In the first edition in 2018, 50 Women from various industries were awarded for their achievements in their respective field.  And the book of “100 Working Women Achievers, ” was released by Honourable High Court Judge, Justice Mr. R. Mahadevan, who adorned the event as the Chief Guest, whilst Mrs. Kannagi, State Women Commission Chairperson,  presided over the function last year.

Second year in a row, we celebrated the womanhood through WWAA-2019 on a grand scale at Kalaivanar Arangam on 2nd March 2019. Mr. C. Kamaraj IAS, MD of Aavin was our Chief Guest giving away the special awards and released the Book of 100 Working Women Achievers. Followed by that Mr. Raj Mohan, Channel Director, Put-Chutney,  addressed the awardees with his extraordinary utterance.
